Project Fundamentals teaches the art and science of delivering successful projects. Over the course of two days, you will learn how to apply the processes, techniques, and tools needed to effectively plan a project. You will also understand how to execute and monitor the plan in order to successfully close the project. During the course, you’ll learn how to define the scope and goals of your project, how to create a schedule, draft a budget and integrate risk by anticipating what could go wrong. The course will also focus on leadership components, such as communication excellence and the very essence of project management—knowing how to lead a team. UTC offers a 15% discount for PMI members.

The Project Manager position in any organization is typically created with a great deal of responsibility, without providing an appropriate level of authority. To be effective, PMs must over time, acquire a power base to effectively exert influence over the organization and build an adaptive project execution methodology that maintains risk at acceptable levels while operating within the parameters of the triple constraint. This presentation will discuss various forms of organizational and personal power that PMs can seek out to build a base of power from which to draw upon to influence the people, process and initiatives required for an effective project completion.
