Southern Middle TN Branch
The Southern Middle Tennessee Branch of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Chattanooga Chapter was established in 2012. The Branch provides local project management professionals residing in Coffee, Moore, Franklin, Lincoln, Grundy and Warren Counties of Middle Tennessee a convenient local PMI association. The Southern Middle Tennessee Branch of the PMI Chattanooga Chapter is looking forward to supporting PMI members in our area. The Branch offers programs every other month, beginning in February of each year. Our meetings are usually held at lunch time at the University of Tennessee Space Institute cafeteria.

Thank you for visiting our Chattanooga PMI website. Whether you are new to Project Management, a long time practitioner, or just want to gain the skills needed to work with a project we welcome all levels of participation in our community and events.
In 2020 we are on track for another record year of membership as the Profession continues to grow. In 2018 we had 300 members and thanks to the leadership of our Board and support of our members we have grown to over 400 members which represents an increase by 33% in just two short years!
Corporate Representatives are an additional link between the employees of a corporation and the PMI Chattanooga Chapter. Their role is to provide input to the Board and to ensure that information about upcoming PMI events are disseminated at their company. Only one representative per company is permitted, they must be a member of the Chattanooga PMI Chapter as well as attend at least half of the scheduled Board meetings (typically held on the first Thursday evening of each month).
Find a Volunteer Opportunity
Make your mark on our PMI Chapter and the profession. As a member, you can volunteer to work on and to lead activities that advance the profession and support the chapter business operations by joining our chapter volunteer community. All volunteer openings are managed by the PMI Volunteer Relationship Management System (VRMS). This system includes the ability to search for opportunities, view details about each role and apply online.
Earn PDUs by Volunteering
Volunteering Project Management Professional PDUs can be earned as part of Category E: Volunteer Service. Category E, along with Category D (Creating New Project Knowledge) and Category F (Working as a Professional in Project Management), comprise the Giving Back To The Profession Categories. You can earn PDUs in Category E (Volunteer Service) by providing volunteer, non-compensated project management, and many others.
Speakers for our Chapter's Events
Our PMI Chapter is looking for dynamic speakers who have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in and/or related to project management. Our chapter has several chapter events including dinner meetings, professional development days and special events that allow our 400+ members to learn about current trends in the project management field. Our meetings are held throughout the year.
