August 2024 Luncheon

With the rise of the business analysis profession, the field of project management will never be
the same again! Only a few years ago, there was no such thing as the Business Analyst (BA).
Today, we see more and more organizations using BAs to define the requirements of new systems
and products and to manage product scope. BAs now work directly with project managers and
project teams—and rightly so. A good BA can help carry the project manager’s burden and greatly
increase a project’s chances of success. In this webinar, we will explore how a BA works in
harmony with a project manager to manage project scope and help projects succeed.
Benefits

In this interactive session, participants are encouraged to reflect on the contributions a Business
Analyst can bring to the project table. Through the use of examples, participants will see why
improving project results without the role of the BA doesn’t work as well or as long as having a
Business Analyst and Project Manager on the project at the right time.

Participants will:
 Learn how BAs contribute to organization success and why every PM should have a BA
 Understand the role of the BA at the Project Table and how they work with the PM
 Gain internal selling points to acquire a BA
 Learn how BAs support and complement the PM and team for ongoing project success
 Learn how the Project Management Institute’s Body of Knowledge, PMBOK® Guide
compares to the International Institute of Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, BABOK®
Guide
