March 2020 Chapter Luncheon
Brooke Satterfield
Brooke joined the IRONMAN team in 2018 and currently serves as the Volunteer Director for IRONMAN 70.3 Chattanooga, IRONMAN Chattanooga, and the Erlanger Chattanooga Marathon.
Beyond recruiting, coordinating, and managing volunteers for some of Chattanooga's biggest athletic events, Brooke spends her regular work day as a Project Coordinator in the Office of Mayor Andy Berke. Her responsibilities here range from planning and managing special events, such as the Mayor's State of the City Address and the Statewide Women's Policy Conference, to supporting and advancing Mayor Berke's initiatives by assisting with a wide variety of special projects.
A North Georgia native, Brooke has called the Scenic City her home since 2012 after moving to Chattanooga to attend UTC. Brooke is now a two-time UTC graduate with a Master's Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. When she's not working or helping community events, Brooke enjoys running and spending time outside exploring all this beautiful city has to offer.
Join Brooke and the PMI Chattanooga Chapter on Thursday, March 19th at Coolidge Park Pavilion to hear about how Brooke and her team executes IRONMAN Chattanooga, and specifically how Brooke uses a leadership perspective to manage a massive event with countless moving parts. Projects and events like IRONMAN require fundamental project management skills like planning, flexibility, and decision making: but through this presentation, you'll learn how leadership and management skills are strategically used to ensure a successful sprint across the finish line year after year.
