2021 President’s Message

When I reflect on the times we find ourselves living in today, I am reminded of this quote: “There are decades where nothing happens, and there are weeks where decades happen.” I certainly believe that, with everything we have experienced over the past year, we have been through a decade worth of change. 2020 was a challenging and dynamic year for us all. While some of us have not seen many changes to our day-to-day work, others have been impacted greatly. No matter what your situation may be, the Chattanooga PMI chapter is here to support our members.

Project Management skills are growing in demand among top companies globally! We want to be sure that you have the collaboration, networking, and education opportunities needed to support you and advance our project management profession as a whole. I invite you to join us for our 2021 virtual series. You can register for events here. Our virtual series is certainly different from the in-person networking events we have been accustomed to, however, they are a wonderful way to keep in touch with other members, gain education, and PDUs.

It is exciting that we are continuing to grow our chapter membership! As a member, you can save on career-advancing certifications, find jobs with the PM Job Board, and stay in-the-know with PMI publications. You can also take advantage of the FREE Professional Development Materials, FREE PDUs, gain access to ProjectManagement.com and DisiplinedAgile.com at no extra cost to your membership. Additionally, you can keep your certifications active, sharpen your skills, and develop new skills. Please invite others to join our chapter and our engaging events.

We can always use volunteers for the Chapter. Consider being a volunteer as it increases self-confidence, provides a sense of purpose and is a much-needed benefit for our chapter members. There are many opportunities for you to assist such as helping identify our 2021 PM of the Year, Project of the Year, or serving in one of our open Board positions.

I would like to encourage our members to reach out, collaborate, network, and help one another in this time of need. We are seeking your input regarding other creative ways we can support our members during this arduous time, so please do not hesitate to contact me directly at our chapter email address This email address is being protected from spambots. I look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event!
